Tunbridge Wells is not short of writing talent – please join us to hear from seven of our fabulously talented local writers:
Heather Russell Kay – “Whispers through the Forest” a haunting and tender collection of short stories where classic fairy-tale elements are reimagined and which explore what it means to endure, adapt, and keep believing — even when the path is dark.
Adam Preston – “Tosser” an irreverent tale of lost, wounded, and directionless men, the feisty ambitious women who inspire and shape them, and a dinosaur running rampant on an obscure fringe of literary London.
Leonora Langley – “Let the Souls of Our Children Sing: Educating Hearts and Minds” outlines the vital importance of nurturing emotional well- being in the young. Her book has been described as “... a must-read for everyone... every sentence is gold-dust”
Mark Freeth – “Ausgang – Scarred Lips” music history and memoir; after forming the classic 80's goth band Ausgang, Mark became a freelance music journalist, then concert promoter, artist manager and label owner. Mark is now once more performing with Ausgang at Festivals all over Europe.
Verity Thornhill – “Whispers from the past”; a romance writer from England with a love for small towns, second chances, and the quiet magic of everyday moments; Verity is an emerging voice in sweet, small-town romances.
Nicholas Holbrook – “Set-Up and Punch” the story of a frustrated, would-be comic. Jasper Green is a naturally funny man, who desperately wants to become a stand-up comedian. "Set-up and Punch" tells the tale of how Jasper tries to fulfill his lifelong ambition.
Matthew Frank – “If I Should Die” begins with vicious, apparently motiveless attacks on down and outs in South London. But when one of the homeless victims dies from his wounds, it's murder.
Authors will be selling their work.
