Workshop: Write a Heartfelt Letter of Gratitude
"My dearest Fanny, You are inimitable, irresistible. You are the delight of my Life. Such Letters, such entertaining Letters as you have lately sent!" - Jane Austen to Fanny Knight, Thursday 20 February 1817.

Have you ever wanted to put your thanks in writing -- and felt at a loss for words?
A heartfelt letter of appreciation brings joy, cements friendships, and can transform a day, or even a life.
But how do you begin? In the 21st century, we have lost the letter writing habit. Join writing coach, Joanna Norland, to reclaim it.
Joanna will guide you through the letter writing process, starting with brainstorming and outlining, with enough time to complete and address an impactful and engaging letter to a friend, loved one, partner, family member, mentor, supervisor, colleague or assistant. The workshop includes a workbook, so that you can revisit the process on your own.
A letter of thanks provides an enduring gift for the recipient, strengthens relationships and fosters good will. More personally, it rewires your brain toward mental health and happiness. So let's get gratitude out of our hearts, onto the page and into the world.
Stationery and envelopes are included -- or you can bring a laptop and type.
Joanna Norland is a playwright and avid correspondent, writing coach for Starcroft Farm Cabins' writing retreats, and creator of the Write in Ten writer development program.

Length: Two hours. Participants are welcome to remain for an additional hour to write further and confer with Joanna.
