Demystifying Publishing – for poets, novelists and non-fiction writers
Would you love to get your work into print – but have no idea where to start? Whether you’re writing a novel, want a poetry pamphlet to sell at open mics, or are planning a non-fiction book to enhance your business, this workshop will help you find the right path to publication. We’ll look at different routes to a finished book, including querying agents and publishers, self-publishing and hybrid publishing. We’ll also cover key stages from manuscript to reader, including editing. Bring yourself, your ideas, a notebook and a pen.

Anna Davidson works for leading publishers and independent authors offering editorial, training and consultancy services, drawing on three decades of experience in trade publishing. Past in-house roles include head of editorial management at Faber and publishing manager at DK Books. Anna is also a traditionally published non-fiction writer and an independently published poet. She is an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
