"If we are not sometimes baffled and amazed and undone by the world around us, rendered speechless and stunned, perhaps we are not paying close enough attention." – Ben Marcus
Whether you’re a poet, novelist or avid journaller, incorporating nature into your work can be powerfully symbolic and add rich sensory detail, transporting the reader to a specific time and place.
Writer, editor and nature-lover Robin Pridy has worked on many high-profile nature books for both children and adults. Join her for a workshop in which she will help you tune into the world around you and learn authentic ways to put your feelings and observations on the page. Please feel free to bring along any inspirational objects or images you take from nature.
Length: Two hours, followed by one-hour, for participants to write and/or discuss their work.
